make time stop

I think when I was younger I was more dramatic
and being more dramatic makes expression easier
I can always find something wrong with anything I want to say
I have become dry and negotiable
I can argue either side of the story
from whichever perspective
this is science

These waves in this photo are like my day
time moving fast, and fasterm I'm always moving with it
either in my car or with my legs or in my  mind, always faster
I have become an ultimate expert at predicting minutes...how many minutes have gone by

My entire day revolves around counting minutes
and being on time, faster
preparing
It isn't until right now that I have stopped
this is my time for just this couple of minutes
although I am already moving into tomorrow

someday h-o-n-e-y

a long week, a long month

it's been a while since posting
I'm not particularly surprised
the month i've had has been long
but this week has been longer
I always find it surprising in some ways
how stress levels can sky-rocket just
in the matter of a day

this week,
it seems there have been many triumphs
many learning moments
moments of my blood pressure rising to give me a headache
desperation
fatique
happiness

sometimes in life,
you know it's the worst of time
but you also know it's the best
and that one day you will miss this
and be glad it's over all at the same time

Missing Acadia

Window Gardens

I love the idea of window gardens, but I haven't seen very many of them in real life.  Seems like it would definitely be a weekend project with a lot of pre-planning.  But it could be done!  I think it must have all begun as a child for me.  Our kitchen sink had a big window over it that I used to stare out of as I did the dishes.  The window actually looked out over into the front yard from quite a height.  I always loved that, but it's unusual to find a house like that though anyway.

Birthday Wishes

The weekend prior to my birthday Patrick surprised me by taking me to Etheria Day Salon & Spa to have the "birthday package" which included a deep tissue massage, manicure/pedicure, haircut and dye, and a makeup artist to do my makeup.  I must say it was nice to be pampered, but it was even nicer & sweeter that he went through all the trouble to surprise me.
