Days in Maine

This past weekend we had the pleasure of taking a quick trip to Maine.  Our goal was to see a different part of Maine we had never been to, so this time we went to the northern coast of Maine all the way up to a tiny, tiny town called Machias.

As we made our way back down the coast we went to my favorite place on the planet: Mount Desert Island & Acadia National Park.  We visited one of my favorite places: Sand Beach, and stopped for clam chowder at the same restaurant we went to four years ago.

On our delayed flights back to Houston I read an entire book on the early history of Mount Desert Island.  Here are some photos from the trip!

Someone had even been asked to marry on Sand Beach with stones!
